How things got started was that Jason, a hockey dad and software developer, had often volunteered for his son’s hockey team and took on the job no one else wanted: handwriting 20+ player names and coach details on the standard USA Hockey scoresheet, game after game, all season long.

So, he approached his designer friend, Kip, about the idea of making this easier for hockey parents like himself. The two put their heads together and Chirp was born with the mission to remove the tedious busywork, so parents and coaches can simply focus on the joy of the sport.

Chirp starts with scoresheet labels, but we plan to offer a variety of team-customized products, all with the aim of making life easier for those who volunteer their precious time to make youth hockey available in their communities.

With every purchase, we donate 1% to the USA Hockey Foundation Youth Hockey Development Fund. It may be just a small gesture, but it’s our heartfelt thank-you to those who help make the magic happen for our youth.
